Rumours are rife that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has replaced her contemporary Priyanka Chopra in ‘Don 3’, who had starred in the previous two installments

Deepika Padukone has been in the news since the past few days owing to her upcoming magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ controversy. While the sword is dangling on the head of the release date of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, Deepika has made it to the news, but this time she can finally breathe in peace. Rumour mills are rife that Deepika has been approached to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Don 3’.

Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Shah Rukh Khan had been contemplating ‘Don 3’ for a long time, and now it seems like they can finally take the project onboard.According to a report in Filmfare Shah Rukh Khan wants Deepika Padukone to play her role in the third part of the film. Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan have previously worked together in Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year.

Sources have said that Shah Rukh Khan has spoken to Farhan Akhtar about casting Deepika Padukone in Don 3 and this news has set the rumour mill ablaze. Priyanka Chopra who is loaded with offers from the west is busy shooting for her TV series ‘Quantico’ in LA. Interestingly, Deepika and Priyanka both have been creating waves in Hollywood and are flooded with offers even there. Dippy is also set to appear in another Hollywood project. While the fringe groups in India want to chop off Deepika’s nose and have placed a bounty on her, her talent has been appreciated on a global stage and is now on the cover of several magazines and is also the brand ambassador for several cosmetic giants.
